Report a Bug

Found something not working as expected on Zapfile? We want to hear about it. Bug reports from real users are one of the most valuable ways we improve the service — and we fix issues faster when we have good reproduction steps.

How to Report

Email [email protected] with the subject line “Bug Report” and include as much of the following as possible:

  • Steps to reproduce: What did you do before the bug appeared? A numbered list helps us replicate it.
  • Expected behaviour: What did you expect to happen?
  • Actual behaviour: What actually happened? Include any error messages exactly as shown.
  • Browser and device: Which browser (and version), operating system, and device type you were using. Example: “Chrome 124 on Windows 11” or “Safari on iPhone 15 / iOS 17.”
  • Screenshots or screen recording: If you can capture what you saw, even a phone photo of the screen helps.

Common Issues Worth Reporting

  • Upload or download failing partway through
  • A 5-digit code that isn't working for a recipient
  • The file arriving corrupted or with a different size than expected
  • QR code not scanning correctly
  • UI elements not displaying or overlapping incorrectly
  • Unusually slow speeds that persist across multiple transfers

What Happens Next

We typically acknowledge bug reports within 24 hours. If we can reproduce the issue, we'll let you know the fix is in progress. If we need more information to reproduce it, we'll follow up. We appreciate you taking the time — every report makes Zapfile better for everyone.

Security vulnerabilities: If you've found a security issue rather than a functional bug, please email [email protected] directly and mark it as “Security Report” in the subject. We treat security reports with high priority and confidentiality.
